Can my child bring food from home?

  • No, unfortunately we do not allow this. We participate in a food program which ensures that your child is receiving the required meal pattern for breakfast, lunch and snack. If your child is a picky eater, we will have a meeting to come up with a plan.

  • What should I do if my child is sick?
  • If a child arrives with symptoms of illness, the child will not be permitted to stay. Children will be excluded from contact with other children; seated with the staff confined from group until parents can be notified. Please notify us if your child becomes ill and will not be attending that day. We ask that parents notify us when their child contracts a communicable disease. The preschool will notify all other parents about any communicable disease outbreaks while maintaining the child’s anonymity.

Keeping children safe from COVID-19 our preschool is a top priority. Here are key ways to help ensure their safety:

  1. Vaccination and Screening:
    • Encourage all eligible staff and parents to get vaccinated to reduce the risk of transmission.
    • We implement a daily health screening protocol for both children and staff, checking for symptoms such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Those with symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 cases should stay home.
  2. Hygiene and Sanitization:
    • Promote good hand hygiene by encouraging regular handwashing for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
    • Provide hand sanitizer stations throughout the preschool facility for use when handwashing is not readily available.
